ET - Ezekiel Terrestrial?

This just in - according to a guy on the History channel, Ezekiel's vision of a "wheel in a wheel" may have been an alien encounter!!

Laughable, but UFO-fanatics find a sighting in just about any literature or history involving looking upward.

Have you ever wondered with such a vast universe, if God may have created any kind of life on another planet, out there somewhere, far far away? Scripture does not indicate this in any way, but would we really need to know about it? Certainly a God so great as to create such a vast and wonderful universe could manage it all - but did He?

I know I'm a sci-fi nerd of sorts, and I'm probably alone in finding this line of thinking interesting, but I wonder if there is anything in scripture that might negate this possibility?

First of all, I’m not a sci-fi nerd at all. Outside of Star Wars, and the original Star Trek, I’m just not into that genre. Well ok, throw in Buck Rogers too. Anyway, despite the fact that I’m not into sci-fi, and that I think ufo chasers are a little wacky, I’ve also heard Ezekiel’s vision interpreted as being a possible UFO. And what about the story in Genesis of the Nephilim (Genesis 6) who came down and mated with the daughters of men. ??? Pretty weird stuff.

I've also seen some secular interpretations of the Nephilim, ranging from interesting to bizarre.

I think even evangelical Bible scholars may struggle on the interpetation of that one - just not enough info to go on. I know some uphold the "fallen angels" mating with "daughters of men" theory, which I find to be a fascinating concept. I'd like to read up on the known characteristics of angels - I wonder how much we really know about them from Biblical sources?

Once again, begging the question - is it important for us to know? (if so, it would have been explained in greater detail in Scripture, right?)

Dinosaurs? What's up with that?
